SOCKS!

WHAT'S UP??!!! I'm Socks! They call me Socks because it looks like I have socks on me feet. I live with Sylvia, Isaac and Erica. Sylvia is a great mommy! Isaac is like the best friend ever! Erica is like the worst sister ever!!!!!!!!! UGGGHHHH she's so rude! Sylvia and Isaac always play with me, take me for walks, and love on me! Erica on the other hand, NEVER even notices me, and when she does, she acts like she's disgusted by me. I know she doesn't like me.
The other day it was freezing and raining, and Erica took forever to let me inside the house. I cried and cried and cried, she still didn't give a crap. She let me in and let me right back out because she didn't want me in the house while she was out. So, I refused!!! I ran from her, hid from her, and barked as loud as I could!! I made the biggest scene in the world! She finally caught me, grabbed my collar and dragged me out of the house! I was soooo freakin' mad! So here I am, still sitting outside in the nasty, ugly weather crying to you. If you speak to Erica, don't forget to mention that I'm coming for her!

UUUGGGH celebrities!!!

I think it's sooo stupid that people worry about the lives of the celebrities and the dumb stuff they do!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY???!! WHY??!!!!!!! WHY!!!!??? There's nothing special about them except the fact that they have more money then most of us!

THIS IS MY "UNCOVERED HERO STORY!"

Fort Hood hero uncovered

The tragic shootings earlier this month at Fort Hood have raised a number of questions throughout the country.

How could this have happened? Was it terrorist driven? Were there any warning signs that could have prevented this? Did the shooter act alone? But what concerns me is the one question that was seemingly raised but never really answered and then quickly shoved under the rug. That question centers around how Maj. Hasan was actually subdued. Who shot him and ended this rampage of violence?

Many may not have seen a gripping New York Times story on this past Saturday’s front page’

The reporter, James McKinley Jr. does some deft journalistic reporting in uncovering and then retelling what one eyewitness saw. McKinley’s report suggests that Sgt. Kim

Munley – the officer heralded as a hero by the brass at Ft. Bragg in the immediate aftermath of the shootings – may not have been the one who brought Maj. Hasan down.
Instead, her colleague Sgt. Mark Todd, a 25-year law enforcement veteran, rounded a different corner at the time of the Hasan and Munley exchange and took Hasan down. “I just relied back on my training,” he later said in an interview. “We’re trained to shoot until there is no longer a threat. And once he was laying down on his back, his weapon just fell into his hand and I’m, like, ‘O.K., now’s the time to rush him and secure him.’ ”

What an incredible story of heroism itself. Yet when asked about this different account by an actual eyewitness, officials at Ft. Hood pointedly refused to release any further details on how the shootings occurred, according to the New York Times story.

That boggles my mind. Is the military so desperate to find and label a hero that they choose to ignore basic facts? Sure, Sgt. Munley should be honored for her own selflessness. But the truth must come out if that’s what actually occurred. Give the brother credit. If Sgt. Todd stared evil in the face and brought Maj. Hasan down, then he rightfully deserves that distinction and recognition. And the U.S. Army and all involved should respond accordingly.

Sgt. Todd doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who stares at medals or works for the admiration of others. In his own words, he was simply doing his job. But I’m more worried about what this says of our institutions. Didn’t the military learn its lesson in the wake of the Pat Tillman friendly fire episode years ago? Isn’t the truth always the best approach, even if it doesn’t neatly fit a storyline the Army wants to peddle?

Let’s honor a hero this month and acknowledge the intrepid account of Sgt. Mark Todd.

SENIOR YEAR!

Senior year is here.
The end of school is near.
Time is traveling by,
So it's time to give college a try
I anticipate the wait,
especially my first college date.
It's time to leave the nest.
I can only pray for the best.
I daydream of my future,
and hope it's a great adventure.
And to my graduating class,
I hope your lives are a blast!

This would have been me.......ACTIN A FOOOLLLL!!!

I really haven't been to very many places. I've been to Mexico about twenty times with my "preacher man" welo (we took food and clothes to orphanages), I've been to Dallas several times, I've been to South Padre Island, I've been to Corpus Christie, Tennessee, Galveston, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. Those are the major places that I can think of.......lol

This is a picture of Florida.....where I would really, really like to go. I would try to see everything in Florida, but I would like to stay in Tampa for a little bit and hit up a few places. I would go to The Simenole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, all the parks, which include: the Al Lopez Park, Cotanchobee Park, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Eureka Springs, Lettuce Lake Park, McKay Bay Nature Park, Morris Bridge Wilderness Park, Plant Park, Rowlette Park, Town-n-Country Greenway, Upper Tampa Bay Park, and Upper Tampa Bay Trail. I would also like to see the beaches in Tampa. I would go to Hyde Park Village, which is in the heart of Tampa, where I could go SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING!!! I would also go check out the hot clubs.....of course! From Childress to Tampa is exactly 1353.54 miles!

From Tampa, I would like drive to New York City! That would be exactly 1142.59 miles!!! In New York City I would first, like to go see where the twin towers were, the pentagon, and the statue of liberty! I would go to Aquavit, New York City's number one ranked restaurant! I would hit up the best places to shop, and be there for about 24 hours!!! Then, I would go on one of the famous NYC tours. Then, of course I would walk around and try every food possible!!! It would be a blast!

From New York, I would head to Colorado Springs, where I've always wanted to live. That would be a long drive of 1778.07 miles!!! The first thing I would do, would be to go ride in a hot air balloon (people tour Colorado Springs this way!) Then, I would probably go on a long hike to check out the scenes up close. After wards, I would go boating and jet skiing. Then, after drying off I would go horseback riding into the beautiful sunset!!!

After leaving Colorado Springs, Colorado, I would probably head to Las Vegas, Nevada. This drive would be 799. 25 miles. I would go to the biggest casino in Las Vegas. I would party, party, party! Then after I win some money, I would go spend all on my lovely self (SHOOOOPPPPIIINNNGGG!!!) After I'm all worn out from shopping I would go to my hotel room and get a wonderful massage! The next day I would go find the best body salon and get pampered!

After partying like a rockstar in Nevada, I would go to Mexico. I would go to the place called Piernas Negras. In English, that means the legs of a black woman. My Welo (grandpa) used to take us there every summer when we were younger. He would go preach and we would also go take food and clothes to an orphanage. It doesn't sound like a vacation but I loved it. I miss it now that were older and Welo is gone.....

I couldn't find this town on mapquest.....I don't even know if that's it's real name or if it's too small to even be on a map but it does exist!!! lol
